Subtle Yoga – Body Sensing, Breathing & Yoga Nidra
Mondays 11am – 12.30 @ The River Room
Please join me for a new Subtle Yoga class on Monday mornings in the River Room.
Together we will begin our week with the soothing, grounding practices of Body Sensing, Pranayama (breathing) and Meditation (Yoga Nidra). Combined, these practices will help us move away from the over-activity of our minds towards calming our Central Nervous System for deep physical and mental relaxation and well being. In Body Sensing we learn to listen to our bodies in gentle movement and in stillness. In Pranayama practice we really come to know our breath as integral to the experience of our bodies. Every class will include a full practice of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) to leave us fully refreshed and rejuvenated.
NB – No prior yoga experience or physical fitness is necessary for this class. The practices will particularly benefit those of us experiencing stress, anxiety and insomnia but are also ideal for anyone interested in cultivating a sense of wholeness and wellbeing and maybe wanting to complement a stronger physical asana-based practice in other Yoga classes.
My teaching is now very much informed by recently training in iRest Yoga Nidra and I am delighted to be able to complement my Gentle Yoga class on Friday mornings with this Monday morning class. What a perfect way to end and begin the week! I hope you’ll join me and maybe bring a friend.
